Giant Squids Found in California
Giant squids are invading California, really.
The biggest catch so far is about 60 pounds but the average weight caught is somewhere between 20 to 40 pounds. So far about 400 giant squids were caught.
This phenomenon, if I may call it that, has lured anglers to the beaches of California. My question is, do they really have to catch them? What for? Those poor giant squids.
Another question, what made them “invade” California? Do you think it has something to do with global warming?

I guess I am one, but as I study marine microbes, maybe not the ideal expert. Still, that *does* look like a Humbolt.
Squids are intelligent by all accounts, since we’re running short of options can we get some of these cephalopods to have a go at governing our country? They’re obviously curious about us, this could be good for us and the squids … Their expenses would be fairly minimal too.
