Increase your page rank (do follow)

I am now “Do Follow” enabled. I know, I know. That strategy is old news. But what can I say? I just started blogging.

Anyways… for the ignorant. Wordpress, by default, uses a “nofollow” tag on its comments. So what is “nofollow”? - It tells spiders (big search engines like Google and Yahoo) not to crawl the links provided in the comments section of a particular blog. Currently, though, Yahoo and MSN follows links even when the “nofollow” tag is encountered.

So what? - Google’s page ranking (gauge that determines the popularity of your web site) is heavily relying on its crawl algorithm. If a number of sites link to your site, your page rank increases. If your page rank increases, your site is more visible in the World Wide Web (more traffic).

What am I trying to say? I don’t know actually. To make the long story short, comment on my blog and your page rank will have the chance of increasing its popularity. I’m sure my blog is shit but just try to comment - it won’t hurt.

Yes it is true that Google does not follow the links when it is “no-follow” however, currently yahoo, and msn, “do” follow the “no-follow” links. So the “no-follow” only applies to Google.

Hi Tonex. I recalled creating an awards blog site and got pagerank 4 in less than a month. I guess it is safe to say that despite limited links, great content can help increase one’s page rank.
