Banker to live in an island to quit smoking

Geoff Spice, a British former banker is trying a weird yet excellent way of quitting smoking – exile himself in an island.  Allegedly, the island only has three huts where shepherds once used.  There is no electricity and running water.

He really wants to quit that bad, huh?

I don’t blame him.  Quitting smoking is hard.  It took me 3 to 5 years trying before I actually quit.

Google screenshot.Do you think Apple hijacked the keywords “i’m a pc”? When you search Google for the phrase “i’m a pc”, the first results that come out is an Apple web page.

“I’m a PC.”, of course, is the slogan that Microsoft uses repetitively in their new series of advertisements post-Seinfeld.

I don’t know if I should laugh or cry. I feel bad for Microsoft. Aesthetically, Mac/OSX is better. But Microsoft Windows/PC products are very useful to me right now.

What are you gonna do? Most application developers look to be compatible with Microsoft first, before Mac operating systems.  If all functionalities were equal, I would prefer Apple products because they look cooler. Read more »

Blogging is therapeutic

Allegedly, blogging has therapeutic benefits:

Scientists have long known the therapeutic benefits of writing about personal experiences. Blogs provide another convenient avenue for writing about personal experiences. Research shows that it improves memory and sleep, boosts immune cell activity and reduces viral load in AIDS patients, and even speeds healing after surgery.

What if you often drink while you blog? I guess, in that case, it will only improve your sleep.
