Farewell, Francis Magalona

Francis M. passed away yesterday and I could say I was shocked. My wife and I were just wondering several days ago why there have been no updates on his website.  I even suggested that they may have been very busy with therapies and such.

Francis Magalona is one of the domestic musicians I admire from sheer talent alone.  I came to know about him when I was very young.  I think he was an actor first before transforming into a very talented musician.  I really liked his music when I was in high school.  I used to memorize his early rap songs especially Mga Kababayan Ko! Nirvana Teenager

The baby in the album is now a teenager. He’s seventeen years old and thinks it would have been cooler to be a teen in the 90’s.  I couldn’t agree with him more. Although I still think my teen life in the 90’s sucked, the rock music scene at that time was much more intense. His name is Spencer Elden, by the way.
