Why is the Philippines Poor?

I got a forwarded e-mail and I’d like to share it.  It’s about an article sent by Dr. Arsenio Martin of Fort Arthur, Texas.

THE DIFFERENCE

The difference between the poor countries and the rich ones is not the age of the country: This can be shown by countries like India & Egypt , that are more than 2000 years old, but are poor.

On the other hand, Canada , Australia & New Zealand , that 150 years ago were inexpressive, today are developed countries, and are rich.

Shalani Soledad – Noynoy Aquino’s Girlfriend

shalani-soledadToday, I finally saw Noynoy Aquino’s girlfriend, Shalani Soledad on TV.  Noynoy Aquino, of course, is the only son of Cory and Ninoy Aquino and just announced his candidacy for President of the Philippines.

Shalani Soledad is so beautiful, Noynoy Aquino is a very lucky man.  Shhh, don’t tell my wife I said that.  Shalani’s face could “launch a thousand votes“.  It could be one of the ingredients for Noynoy’s campaign success.

I  have already narrowed my choice between Noynoy Aquino and Nick Perlas and you know it’s tilting towards Noynoy now.

Yes, I’m that shallow.

While we have the “usual suspect” candidates, maybe we should consider alternative ones like Nick Perlas.  I’m not saying vote for Nick Perlas.  I’m saying consider voting for him.
