Diablo III rumors have been milling for the longest time.  However, recent developments *might* suggest that its release is nearing fruition.  Blizzard’s splash page is… I don’t know… something?

Allegedly, the domain name “diablo3.com” has been bought by or transferred to Blizzard. 

A few months ago we were contacted by Blizzard in regards to the Diablo3.com domain name. While they appreciate all the work that’s been put into running this big Diablo fan community over the years, they still want the domain name. Hmm, I wonder why?

I can’t wait for Diablo III to come out but I fear it will follow the path of World of Warcraft where you have to pay to play.  I don’t mind paying, but we all know that WOW is not available in the Philippines.

Update: Several days after I wrote this post, Blizzard unveiled Diablo 3.  I’m relieved it’s not pay-to-play and I can’t wait to play it! I’m not high on the Witch Doctor though but it’s good they improved on the Barbarian. And two (2) genders for each class?! Now, that’s more like it!
