I Love Google Chrome
Yes, that’s right. Hold it, I’m not a bandwagoner. I just like it because:
It has a good user interface. The toolbars don’t take up so much space. I also like that the tabs are at the topmost portion of the browser. It’s a genius idea really.
Conventional browsers have their tabs at the 2nd or 3rd row of the toolbar/menu. The page titles shows on the tabs, as well as, on the window titlebar - a bit redundant. Chrome removed the title from the titlebar and moved the tabs there, brilliant.
Also, because of creative changes in the UI (user interface), the browser feels and looks light. It really doesn’t matter if it really loads pages faster because if it isn’t true, there is still that perception. I didn’t test the page loading myself but several sites have and I’m taking their word for it. (Sorry, I’m too lazy to find the links to those sites.)
The search feature (inside the page) is informative. At the right scrollbar, there are gold bands that give you a hint where the searched phrase is located.
Allegedly, each tab runs its own process so if a page crashes, the entire browser doesn’t crash. I haven’t even experienced any crashes with Chrome so far.
I like that the status bar at the bottom appears only when there is a message that needs to be conveyed to the user. Auto-hiding the status bar gives more room to the already roomy content space.
Of course, there are some things I don’t like:
It doesn’t support plugins. I’m hoping that would be available in future versions.
I’m still not sure about its security. When purchasing online, I still use Firefox. By the way, don’t get me wrong. I still love Firefox. I just like Chrome better.
I’m sure Chrome has many weaknesses but I understand that this is their first release and it’s only going to get better.
I am guessing they have another software or plugin coming up. Clue: it has something to do with mail.

i tried installing chrome & it was very fast at first then my other apps began to slow down. i found out that chrome packs a 45+ mb size that eats space in my memory so i uninstalled it from my pc.
Yeah, I expected some users to have difficulties. That is “normal” in every software ever developed. I was actually praying that their software is “compatible” with my installed apps or os (vista).
So far, so good.
