How to find your GoDaddy EPP Code
Sometimes you will want to transfer your domain name from one web hosting company to another. In my case, I want to transfer a domain name from GoDaddy to Host Monster. The recipient hosting company (Host Monster, in my case) will require the EPP Code. Trust me, it’s hard to find (at least for GoDaddy).
Here’s how to do it:
- Log on to your GoDaddy account.
- Go to Domain Manager and select/click on your domain name.
- Look for Authorization Code and click the link beside it, “Send by Email“.

I found the solution from this article.

It took me 20 minutes to find that EPP code yesterday…
I’m sad you found this info on other than my site :p
Hehe. I don’t like seeing Danica at GoDaddy’s site either.
Anyone have a GoDaddy account? I need to migrate my shared servers to a dedicated server and not sure how all of that works.
Andy, do you host your site on GoDaddy? I wouldn’t recommend them for dedicated hosting. There are better solutions…
Godaddy is good for domains but not recommend it for hosting. I heard it is very slow. Also check out this post which talk about the similar topic:
