How to find your GoDaddy EPP Code

How to find your GoDaddy EPP Code

Sometimes you will want to transfer your domain name from one web hosting company to another.  In my case, I want to transfer a domain name from GoDaddy to Host Monster.  The recipient hosting company (Host Monster, in my case) will require the EPP Code.  Trust me, it’s hard to find (at least for GoDaddy).

Here’s how to do it:

  1. Log on to your GoDaddy account.
  2. Go to Domain Manager and select/click on your domain name.
  3. Look for Authorization Code and click the link beside it, “Send by Email“.

I found the solution from this article.

  1. It took me 20 minutes to find that EPP code yesterday…
I’m sad you found this info on other than my site :p

  2. Oh thank you so much Mr Blog Ex Machina.

I’m a complete novice at transferring domain names, and I agree with others here – Godaddy is not fun!

    And thank you Lanna too.

  3. I also transferred my itty bitty domain from godaddy to name cheap.

  4. I like the valuable information you supply to your articles.

I’m somewhat certain I will be told a lot of new stuff right right here! Best of luck for the following!

  5. Write more, thats all I have to say. Literally, it seems as though you relied
on the video to make your point. You obviously
know what youre talking about, why throw away your
intelligence on just posting videos to your site when you could
be giving us something enlightening to read?

  6. I got this web page from my friend who told me about this website and now this time
I am browsing this website and reading very informative posts here.

  7. Interesting blog! Is your theme custom made or did you download it from somewhere?
A design like yours with a few simple tweeks would really
make my blog shine. Please let me know where you got your theme.
