My Nikon D60

nikon-d60I now own a Nikon D60!  Imagine that.  I bought it about 2 weeks ago and I only had the guts to blog about it now.

Photography caught my interest for about 2 to 3 years now but I just seriously considered learning about a year ago.

I had to blackmail my wife to buy this one.  She relented last year but then she miraculously got pregnant last November (after maybe 5 years of trying).  I said to myself that maybe we ought to save money now that we’re expecting a child.

I told my wife last December that maybe I don’t want to buy a Nikon D60 after all.  February 2008 came and my urge to own one re-surfaced.  I even thought of a reason to buy one.  How will I take pictures of our beautiful baby?!

I again pleaded with my wife… and pleaded… and pleaded… and blackmailed her once more.

Now, I own a Nikon D60!  (I guess it’s time to blackmail her once more to get my first two lenses.)

    Cool! Please a write a detailed tutorial on the intricacies and most effective way to blackmail a loved one. I need to have a fancy toy, too. hahaha.

    Hehe. I don’t think there is a (more or less) single way to blackmail. It depends on who you’re blackmailing.

    At any rate, don’t worry. When you want something too much and you need permission from a loved one, you’ll think of an effective blackmail plot.

    Hi,

    I bought this sa SM Davao. Camerahaus, I think. I forgot how much it cost, hehe. 26k to 29k yata. Ininstallment ko kasi with credit card, 0% interest. Obviously, gadgets are much more expensive in the provinces.

    If you’re from Metro Manila, I hear Hidalgo is the haven for cheap camera.

    I just bought a d60 yesterday at henry’s along hidalgo. 28k with 4gb memory card and camera bag..
