Shalani Soledad – Noynoy Aquino’s Girlfriend
Today, I finally saw Noynoy Aquino’s girlfriend, Shalani Soledad on TV. Noynoy Aquino, of course, is the only son of Cory and Ninoy Aquino and just announced his candidacy for President of the Philippines.
Shalani Soledad is so beautiful, Noynoy Aquino is a very lucky man. Shhh, don’t tell my wife I said that. Shalani’s face could “launch a thousand votes“. It could be one of the ingredients for Noynoy’s campaign success.
I have already narrowed my choice between Noynoy Aquino and Nick Perlas and you know it’s tilting towards Noynoy now.
Yes, I’m that shallow.

When it comes in the matters of the heart, by remaining single it makes Noynoy, constanly an ideal man to many women but it does not hold true in matters of the fact of life. A president without a first lady is like a fool without a woman.
I think as voters we should form a group where we can express our desire for a “My Vote for Noynoy is for President with a First Lady”. I can’t imagine a Philippine president without an experience of how a family life is really like and I don’t want him to end up as the Philippines worst president ever.
Agree. An awareness and sensitivity to the family context is important—it is a presidency, not a monarchy. What was Kris thinking, Elizabeth the Virgin Queen?? I think she’s just insecure of Shalani who is a top class act and years younger at that.
I think we should vote for a President who’s not a traditional politician, whether or not he/she has a spouse. Is that Noynoy? I don’t know… yet.
The author’s comment uses a cliche on the famous literature of Homer. The beautiful Helen of Troy has a face “that launched a thousand ships”. Her beauty triggered war among the Greeks. Is this a sign that political chaos looms the presidency of Noynoy? Politics begets politics. Noynoy should marry someone who does not take advantage of his status or influence.
If we want Noynoy to have a “first lady” simply because we want him to have a perspective on crucial family issues, I think that’s too shallow for a reason. For one, he has been much closer to his family than we could think. That alone is enough for him to have a sense of family life. A president without a first lady is like a fool without a woman? I don’t know about that, but some men have become fools themselves after having been married.
I think even w/o the girlfriend thing, I’d go for Ninoy because of his parents, may pinagmanahan naman yun kasi I think, hehe. Wow, ngayon ko lang nakita un GF nya, but now I wonder why Kris don’t like her.. hmm
I will levae it to Noynoy to run his own personal affairs. I trust him and so ALL his choices and decisions. There seems to be some black propaganda being louge against Shalani pero si Noynoy ang gustong tamaan. Hindi nila masira si Noynoy kaya ang pupuntiryahin yung girlfriend. We must be very discerning to this kind of situation. Sa nakikita ko naman, OK si Shalani and there is absolutely no reason for us to be disappointed with Noynoy’s choice. Payo ko lang two things; sana pagkatapos na ng eleksyon ang kasal para di mawala ang focus. Secondly; don’t forget to invite me.
Anyone who gets involved in Politics must always remember the very law that controls us all, the LAW OF GRAVITY. Isaac Newton once stated the essential principle of gravity, “Anything that goes up must come down”. Newton blurted out his statement when he established the principle because it came as a realization on his part. The apple that he threw into the air hit him so hard, he even stated to himself, the higher you climb into the stairs of gravity…the harder you fall. If this very people that is involved in politics climb so hard and so fast, they will fall the same way either. No stone or apple will fall back to you if you haven’t hurled anything. Criticisms are also stone or apples that we threw away and it went so far that we forgot we have thrown something.

You seem so naive and pretentious. The criticisms i’ve read are direct and precisely for Lani. Those criticisms were aimed at protecting Noynoy and the Aquino family. So how come you say those were aimed at Noynoy? For your information Black Propaganda means information that are misleading. Revelations are not black propaganda, it is aimed at opening the eyes of the public so they may know the real score. Pretentious people like you must be revealed and peeled open so the real skin will be exposed.

There’s nothing like politics to heat up the discussion eh? As for me, I’d think about Noynoy’s worth or merits as a presidential candidate based on issues and on his track record. His being single doesn’t even figure in the equation.
If you like her, go get her. Who knows, she might be moonlighting. If she fell for Noynoy because of his potentials in Politics, then the relationship is not for keeps.
I agree with Gerry, the issues about Shalani such as dishonesty in providing personal information and falsification of school records as well as her relationship with corrupt people are not simply criticisms. These are facts revealed by concerned people aimed at protecting Senator Noy. A lot of people are very afraid that if she ended up being his First Lady there would be a great possibility that she will become a disaster like Imelda Marcos. Insofar as her alleged being a single mother we do not care about that!. Come on get real! Single motherhood is already very common this age…remember Kris Aquino is also once a single mother!
I have a vision that Noynoy Aquino will be the next President of the Philippines. Just the same vision I had when I was still in the Philippines. The vision of Laban sign in the clouds. One can’t prevent people from thinking negatively about the Noy Shalani relationship. But aren’t we, perhaps, just too judgmental? Apart from what we read about other people from the broad sheets or perhaps the “bare-all” tabloids, do we really know them? I mean, really, really know their lives? (sometimes/oftentimes, we don’t even know ourselves). As for President Noy’s life – with or without Councilor Shalani and vice versa -, the next six years and beyond will tell (but not even entirely…).
Puro kayo paninarasa ibang tao, just look first unto your personal life before others, mabait na tao yan si noy at wala kayong paki alam sa buhay nya.
