Google Chrome’s Negatives

I can’t disregard my Firefox browser after all. Chrome is great and I would want to label it my favorite browser but it’s just not yet mature. Here’s a list of Google Chrome’s negatives, at least from my perspective:
- It still doesn’t have any plug-in capability - at least not the one that Firefox has. I picked up a habit of checking the Alexa ranking of every website I visit and Firefox has an Alexa plug-in that I’m highly dependent of.
- A link is not colored appropriately when it has already been visited.
- It can’t remember field values - this is very handy when I fill up a form to buy electronic plane tickets (and the like).
- I like the icon but it really looks a bit like Visual Studio 2005 - and I use VS2005 a lot. Sometimes, I erroneously click Visual Studio 2005 when I start my day with my Internet browsing ritual.
- The “stop” button is located on the right side of the browser. I really think the buttons should be grouped together, whether along the right or left sides of the browser.
I still like Google chrome, mainly, because of its crash isolation feature and I’m willing to wait it out. In the meantime, I’m opening two browsers - Chrome and Firefox.
Firefox still crashes on me when I visit Flash-heavy sites.
- I Love Google Chrome
- New Browser Competitor: Google Chrome
- Yahoo & Google learning to search for Flash-based content
- Firefox 3

Despite the speed of Google Chrome, I’m still sticking it out for Firefox. I’ll probably make the switch once they’ve added more plug ins and fine tuned it.
Yeah, same here. I thought I could use Chrome exclusively. It turns out I still couldn’t live without my good ‘ol firefox.
