Why are they imagining Microsoft is dead?
I found this “poem” at CrunchGear. I don’t know why everybody is saying Microsoft is dying. As they say, you win some, you lose some.
Having said that, I know where they’re coming from. I understand Microsoft operating systems (and other products) have issues but which OS hasn’t? Microsoft is blah. Windows is blah. The truth of the matter is, these naysayers have no better alternative.
I’m not a big Microsoft fan (although they are secretly paying me for this post) but Microsoft has been very helpful with my office productivity for 13 years now.
I have to admit though, this “poem” is very funny.

“Not I” said the Windows user
“I liked Ultimate but I’m no loser
I paid for a Vista upgrade
but when my 3D shader failed to shade
I decided XP was the right call
You can’t blame me at all.”

“I just wanted something lighter.
Not my fault Atom was crap
and couldn’t run my Windows apps.
I installed Linux, yes it’s true,
but what was I supposed to do?
It wasn’t me who made it fall,

“Not I,” said the Zune fanboy,
“I got Zune, I’m no iToy
Sure it didn’t do too much and
too bad my girlfriend bought a Touch
now we’re iTunes all the way
what else do I have to say?”

Look: Google does a better job,
we didn’t buy Yahoo! cause they’re clods
People want a good old fashioned engine

“I’m no less fat but I’m much calmer.
Bill Gates told me he’d never leave
but now he’s gone just like Steve.
I’m trying I’m trying yes I confess,
but no one watched me at CES!”

They’re the big guys in the industry – the proverbial great white whale, Microsoft is. And these detractors – puny Ahabs all – are hell-bent on beaching the great whale. Some call the detractors’ efforts heroic. Some think it wishful thinking…Nice find though. Very entertaining.
