MacBook Pro 15.4″ 2.8Ghz 4Gb RAM

MacBook Pro 15.4″ 2.8Ghz 4Gb RAM

Yep, I recently bought one… and count me in as one of the growing Mac converts.  Thanks to Windows Vista, I finally took the courage to switch.  Windows just plain sucks.

This package came via DHL and ordered via Apple Philippines (website).  There’s no stock available in Davao (I waited for a month) and I didn’t want to fly to Manila.  It was a bit more expensive than retail but don’t you just love it when they deliver it to your doorstep?

Steve Jobs take a leave of absence from Apple

Steve Jobs takes a leave of absence and COO Tim Cook takes over day to day operations of Apple:

I am sure all of you saw my letter last week sharing something very personal with the Apple community. Unfortunately, the curiosity over my personal health continues to be a distraction not only for me and my family, but everyone else at Apple as well. I look forward to seeing all of you this summer.

I don’t know if I should laugh or cry. I feel bad for Microsoft. Aesthetically, Mac/OSX is better. But Microsoft Windows/PC products are very useful to me right now.

What are you gonna do? Most application developers look to be compatible with Microsoft first, before Mac operating systems.  If all functionalities were equal, I would prefer Apple products because they look cooler. Read the rest of this entry
