Google Chrome’s Negatives

I can’t disregard my Firefox browser after all.  Chrome is great and I would want to label it my favorite browser but it’s just not yet mature.  Here’s a list of Google Chrome’s negatives, at least from my perspective:

  • It still doesn’t have any plug-in capability - at least not the one that Firefox has. I picked up a habit of checking the Alexa ranking of every website I visit and Firefox has an Alexa plug-in that I’m highly dependent of.
  • A link is not colored appropriately when it has already been visited.
  • It can’t remember field values - this is very handy when I fill up a form to buy electronic plane tickets (and the like). Read more »

I Love Google Chrome

Yes, that’s right. Hold it, I’m not a bandwagoner. I just like it because:

It has a good user interface. The toolbars don’t take up so much space. I also like that the tabs are at the topmost portion of the browser.  It’s a genius idea really.

Conventional browsers have their tabs at the 2nd or 3rd row of the toolbar/menu.  The page titles shows on the tabs, as well as, on the window titlebar - a bit redundant.  Chrome removed the title from the titlebar and moved the tabs there, brilliant. Read more »
